2025 Tyre Flip

Wallasey Town Hall Steps to New Brighton Promenade

We hope these photo’s and video make you smile, it’s always a great event to participate in and this year we broke our previous years records in terms of numbers of participants, numbers of teams and the amount of money raised.

Our aim is always to raise enough money to keep Kaizen Wirral Mindset going so that we can support those in most need of help with mental ill-health. But to be able to support other local charities too is always at the back of our minds and this year was no exception in doing that.

Our goal was to raise £10,000 but we smashed it and raised over £11,500 and we shared that by donating £1000 to The Martin Gallier Project, £500 to Cancer Research, £500 to local individual causes plus £250 to Hard Hitters Veterans Retreat.

For those interested in the stats, Google maps shows that walking the 2.5 mile route would take 51 minutes; our fastest team did it in just over 1 hour and 10 minutes and the slowest just 1 hour and 20 minutes. It’s never a race and there is always help from the faster teams for the slower ones (if they want it that is). The large tyres weigh 100kg and the slightly smaller one 70 kg and we spend several weeks training for the event ensuring that we are all aware of the best technique and know how to lift without injuring ourselves.

It’s always fun when others join in along the route (carefully coached of course) - like members of the RNLI team or just passers by wanting to have a go.

Finally, a great big Thank You to all our Event Sponsors (link to their photo’s at the bottom of the page) and to everyone who supported us with donations, both online and along the route.

Keep an eye on our events page and social media posts for the date of the 2026 Flip.
